The Lure of Wikipedia
My dad loves The Andy Griffith Show, he watches it religiously, knows all kinds of trivia about it and has seen just about every single episode ever made at least 3 times. No kidding. Anyway last night I casually mentioned to him that he should read the Wiki page for the show because it has interesting information about the production, cast and characters. I pulled it up for him and he sat down and read through it for a few minutes. Today I spied him browsing Wiki again, this time for an actor that guest-starred on an episode or two of The Andy Griffith Show.
He’s wiki hopping.
I’m so proud.
And kind of scared because he can barely use the internet.
Tabs mystify him, when The Weather Network changed its layout he groused about how he couldn’t find anything and the idea of attending The Google School of Medicine is new enough to seem like a somewhat good idea to him. And as everyone knows, newbies are dangerous. Particularly when they’re old and don’t know enough to wonder why the crown prince of Nigeria is offering them 20 million dollars.
Except my dad knows that’s a scam so maybe it won’t be too bad?
